More #SCRAM success
Merseyside Police has arrested a man and recovered a scrambler bike in Wavertree as part of Operation Brookdale, the continuing crackdown on illegal and nuisance use of off-road bikes. Around 6.50pm on Friday, officers in the Wavertree area spotted a man trying to kick-start an unregistered motorcycle on the pavement in Wavertree High Street. Upon sighting police, the man ran off into the Crossfields estate where he was pursued on foot and detained. A 28-year-old man from Kensington was taken into custody on suspicion of theft, handling stolen goods, and causing a public nuisance. Enquiries continue to establish the origin of the bike and the full circumstances of the incident. More #187;

Angela Eagle resigns
Brexit latest here Angela Eagle told Jeremy Corbyn In her resignation letter she #x201C;sincerely felt [Corbyn] deserved an opportunity to lead our Party #x201D;.She wrote: #x201C;I was devastated by the result of the EU referendum. Too many of our supporters were taken in by right-wing arguments and I believe this happened, in part, because under your leadership the case to remain in the EU was made with half-hearted ambivalence rather than full-throated clarity. #x201C;While I respect the decision of the electorate, it is the communities we were both elected to serve that have been severely let down. They will be the first to suffer the economic consequences of this decision. They now face the prospect of a much more right-wing Tory Prime Minister and an advancing threat from UKIP in our heartlands which must be vigorously countered. #x201D;

#x27;Betrayed over Brexit #x27;
Interesting read this. A Liverpool student studying in Paris says she feels betrayed over the Brexit vote.
LONDON, ENGLAND - JUNE 25: A small group of young people gather to protest on Parliament Square the day after a majority of the British public voted for leaving the European Union on June 25, 2016 in London, England. The ramifications of the historic referendum yesterday that saw the United Kingdom vote to Leave the European Union are still being fully understood. The Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, who is under pressure from within his party to resign has blamed the #x27;Brexit #x27; vote on #x27;powerlessness #x27;, #x27;austerity #x27; and peoples fears over the issue of immigration. (Photo by Dan Kitwood/Getty Images)
Emma Osborne who is working towards a French degree, said #x201C;I used to be proud to be from Britain. That is no longer true #x201D; and she added her generation has #x201C;every right to feel betrayed, angry and confused #x201D;.
